Mutants and aliens may be expected to possess superhuman powers but the emergence of Batman, for example, before the occurrence of World War II changed the script. Batman may not have superhuman powers, but he’s a razor sharp intellect and wonderful problem-solving capacities. He also has a great mastery of martial arts making him a special human being. On the other hand, Wonder Woman and Captain America were made as creations that were wartime. Both had a powerful ethical compass qualifying as the top representative of the greatest nation on earth as well as super powers. Thus, they set to capture Europe, removing the evil Nazis having an aim of ending up like America itself, setting an example for the conquered enemies following the war. The economy got better as with as the times, the characters of the comic books altered. The Hulk, which came into the scene became a raging beast due to a radiation injury that happened in a laboratory. Coming into the scene of increasing threats of a nuclear holocaust, the regression of the Hulk to bestiality showed the lurking uneasiness that our scientific advances were about to bring forth.
